The Lithuanian University Rectors’ Conference approved the Guidelines for Publication Ethics

The Lithuanian University Rectors’ Conference (LURK) approved the Guidelines for Publication Ethics drafted by the temporary working group for academic integrity and ethics of the LURK at the meeting held on 8 February. The Guidelines are aimed at making the academia aware of the prevailing international provisions of publication ethics, which apply to all stakeholders involved in the publishing process, including editors of scientific publications, publishers, reviewers and authors of various manuscripts (e.g. researchers, scientists, students). These guidelines also propose managerial solutions for publication ethics related to managing conflicts of interest, dealing with potential violations and the signing of permissions.

The LURK recommended that its members independently implement the Guidelines for Publication Ethics.

Congratulations on taking a big step forward in academic ethics and let’s continue the works that have been started!
