The BRIDGE multiplier event and training for the academic community was held in North Macedonia

The BRIDGE team organised the multiplier event and training in North Macedonia, South East European University (SEEU) on 24–28 October. The event and training were hosted by the project’s partners from SEEU. The multiplier event and training for academic community, namely master students, doctoral students, and their supervisors, were conducted by the project’s partners from North Macedonia, Sweden, Ukraine, Czechia and Lithuania.

The multiplier event was moderated on 25 October by Prof. Veli Kreci (SEEU, North Macedonia). The course and results of the project were presented by the project manager, Dr Sonja Bjelobaba (Uppsala University, Sweden). The welcoming speech was made by Vice Rector of SEEU Research and International Relations, Dr Besa Arifi. The insights about challenges of academic integrity were shared by Prof. Veland Ramadani (SEEU). Good practice of academic integrity was reviewed by Prof. Veronika Kareva (SEEU), Prof. Gadaf Rexhepi (SEEU), Prof. Ali Pajaziti (SEEU) and Dr Zarko Trajkov (Macedonian Broadcasting, North Macedonia). More than 50 members of the academic community took part in the event.

During the training, an analyst from the Office of the Ombudsperson, Dr Julija Umbrasaitė presented the Guidelines for Integrity in Research and Business Collaboration under preparation, while her colleague, Dr Birutė Liekė introduced the participants to the Guidelines for Research Ethics and Research Integrity in Citizen Science. The attendees – master students, doctoral students and their supervisors – analysed the gamification cases related to academic ethics.
