In October, Dr. Rima Sinickė, a staff member of the Office, led impactful seminars for academic communities

Dr. Sinickė conducted seminars for the communities of Kaunas University of Technology, Klaipėda State College, and the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry. She introduced participants to international documents regulating the ethical application of artificial intelligence (AI) in science and presented the Office’s Guidelines for the Ethical Use of AI in research and study processes. Seminar attendees raised questions about overlap and plagiarism, proper attribution of AI-generated products in academic work, publisher-integrated AI tools, and student evaluation. More than 200 participants attended the seminars.
