ENRIO Meeting 2024

On September 12-13, 2024, the European Network of Research Integrity Offices (ENRIO) held its Autumn Meeting in Prague, Czech Republic, with participants from various European countries.

During the meeting, discussions centered on the challenges of research integrity and future strategic decisions. Ethical dilemmas surrounding artificial intelligence technologies in the academic world were also examined, alongside the importance of promoting research integrity and strengthening international cooperation.

The Lithuanian Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures Dr. Reda Cimmperman presented the Office’s Guidelines for the Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence in the Academic and Research Process and introduced the Barometer and an upcoming conference in Vilnius on October 11 (more information can be found here: https://byt.lt/0M3hS).

Additionally, ENRIO Board elections took place, with the newly elected Board set to begin its work in May 2025. The locations for upcoming ENRIO meetings in 2026 and 2027 were confirmed, and one of the meetings is planned to be held in Lithuania in September 2027.

ENRIO members actively shared best practices and insights on the importance of research integrity and its development across Europe.
