What should be remembered when organising the scientific events

Although Covid-19 pandemic has changed the reality of communication between the academic communities and transformed the “live” events into online ones, yet the fundamental principles for securing academic ethics and equal opportunities remain valid or they even have become more relevant when the scientific events are organised.

In order to achieve the quality of scientific events, the guidelines “Assurance of Academic Ethics and Equal Opportunities in the Scientific Events” were created on the initiative of the Office of the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures and the Office of the Ombudsperson for Equal Opportunities, in cooperation with the representatives of interinstitutional work group. The guidelines aim to help the research and higher education institutions to organise the scientific events in accordance with the good practices of organisation of international-level scientific events by providing the recommendations for organisation and carrying-out of the scientific events, criteria for selection of participants (works) of the scientific events, recommendations for presentation of relevant information, main requirements of personal data protection, and other information relevant for organisation of scientific events. The guidelines are addressed for the initiators and organisers of scientific evets, persons performing administrative functions, etc.
