On the 8th of November at the Faculty of Law of Vytautas Magnus University, the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures, Mrs. Loreta Tauginienė, met with the representatives of ethics commissions of seven universities to discuss cooperation possibilities in handling allegations of academic ethics while maintaining the implementation of the activity principles of the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures and the autonomy of higher education institutions. During the meeting, the representatives of ethics commissions of the universities exchanged experiences on how to deal more effectively with allegations of academic ethics, also they were interested in possibilities to improve their activity. It was also agreed to hold meetings of representatives of ethics commissions and the Ombudsperson twice a year to discuss the problems arising while embedding principles of academic ethics, and to seek possibilities to expand the competence of ethics commissions.

Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website.
