A discussion entitled “Do you trust science?” was held at the Nature Research Centre

The event “Do you trust science?” held on June 10 of this year was part of the project “Inspiring and Promoting Trust in Science” (IANUS), aimed at strengthening trust in science and innovation. The discussion covered topics such as the reliability of scientific information during the pandemic, personal trust in science, challenges in science journalism, and the roles of communication specialists and independent journalists. Former Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures of the Republic of Lithuania and Vice-Rector of Kazimieras Simonavičius University, Dr. Loreta Tauginienė, delivered a presentation on “Publication Ethics in Science Communication.” The event was organized by the Office of the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures, the Nature Research Centre, and the Research Council of Lithuania. It is important to note that the project is ongoing. In pursuit of high-quality outcomes, further efforts will be made to determine whether the academic community truly trusts science.
