Is academic ethics relevant from your very first year at university? What consequences can academic misconduct have? Why can buying an assignment never replace developing your own competence, and why can’t you always trust answers generated by artificial intelligence? Join us to explore these and other questions relevant to students at the online seminars organised by the Office of the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures of the Republic of Lithuania.
Seminars covering five topics will take place in November and December 2026, with sessions in Lithuanian and English. Students will learn about the principles of academic ethics, academic misconduct and its consequences, the responsible use of artificial intelligence in their studies, and research security.
The seminars are primarily intended for first-year students, but students in other years and anyone interested in these topics are also welcome to attend.
