Event “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Journalism” Successfully Held

On August 29, 2024, a meeting dedicated to discussing the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism took place, with the participation of the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures, Reda Cimmperman.

Among the event’s speakers were Julija (JJ) Jegorova, founder of Black Unicorn PR, who shared her insights on AI and the communications sector; Vaidotas Beniušis, Editor-in-Chief of 15min, who discussed the impact of AI on journalism processes and information dissemination; Giedrius Karauskas, Head of Technology at Tilde, who introduced technological solutions that help optimize media processes; and Agnė Mikštienė, who also presented the latest trends related to AI application in Lithuanian journalism and addressed future challenges.

The event highlighted that implementing AI technologies in journalism requires a high level of responsibility and transparency to ensure the quality and reliability of information dissemination.
