The Ombudsperson Participated in International Events in Bucharest

On November 12–14, 2024, three significant events took place in Bucharest (Romania) as part of the international Open and Universal Science (OPUS) project, with the participation of the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures of Lithuania, Dr. Reda Cimmperman. These events brought together an international community of scholars, academic ethics experts, policymakers, and representatives of research funding organizations to discuss academic ethics, the advancement of open science culture, and the importance of research assessment reforms.

Dr. Cimmperman actively participated in the events, sharing Lithuania’s experiences and contributing to discussions on bridging theory and practice in the research ecosystem. These events reaffirmed the importance of strengthening international collaboration to ensure that the culture of science and academic ethics becomes more open, accessible, and focused on delivering impact to both researchers and society.
